La mención del guitarrista de Bruce Springsteen, o para ignorantes como yo el consigliere de Tony Soprano, parece ser una buena carta de presentación de Psych Ward, disco debut de la banda garagera de Dublín The Urges. Aunque el álbum fue editado en 2007, año en el que aterricé en la capital irlandesa, hace solo unos meses que supe de ellos por primera vez; exactamente cuando escuché el formidable The Urges Theme, momento desde el cuál me aseguré de no perderme su próximo bolo en Dublín. El sábado pasado pude por fin hacerlo en The Pint, donde desde el 5 de Marzo tienen lugar los "Beyond Hip Saturdays", nombre del club night en el que varios grupos de la ciudad tienen opción de mostrar sus bondades con el aliciente para el público de entrada gratis y pintas a 3 euros, ¿se puede pedir algo más?. La del sábado fue una gran noche de rock & roll y beat de la mano de The Pacifics [buenísimos], y la psicodelia y garage de The Urges.
